Step 2: checkout

Add up to five carriers to your cart. All items usually ship within two business days, and include a prepaid return label. Shipping charges are added at checkout.

Step 3: enjoy

Your 14-day rental period begins when the item is delivered. Every rental includes a complementary virtual fit check.

Loving it and want to extend your rental? Purchase an extension and borrow for up to a month.**

Step 4: return

Use the included shipping label to mail your item(s) back, and drop off within two days of your due date to avoid late fees.

**Maximum length of loans is one month (30 days total).

Rentals & Shipping

How long do I get to keep a carrier?

The standard rental period is two weeks (14 days). Your rental period begins when the package is marked as “delivered” by the carrier. Your rental period ends after 14 days (or 21, or 30), and must be mailed back within two business days. Rental periods may not exceed 30 days total.

Carriers not shipped within seven days of rental period end may be charged the full replacement cost of the item plus a restocking fee. If you do not purchase an extension, your card on file will be charged for a full additional rental fee after seven days, and after 21 days.

Can I keep the carrier for longer than two weeks? Can I extend it after receiving the item?

Yes! You can purchase an extension here. The rental period will not exceed 30 days, but you can convert your two week rental to three week or a one month rental. More Questions? Email us.

An extension must be purchased within seven days of receiving the item.

How do I ship back my rented item(s)?

All rentals come with a prepaid return shipping label included in your shipment. Please make sure the item(s) are in a bag when you package them. If your return label is lost or missing, please email us or message the facebook page to get in touch.

You are responsible for shipping the item back and ensuring that the return label is scanned upon receipt by the carrier.

How long will it take to arrive at my door?

All items ship within a week, typically within 3 or 4 days. All packages are sent via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground.

Shipping times may vary based on season and service delays.

Can I rent more than one item at a time?

Yes! Be sure to check the banner for current bundle discounts. Three is a great number, and we don’t recommend borrowing more than five carriers at a time. It’s a lot to try in 14 days.

Is it possible to cancel a rental?

Rental cancellations may be granted on a case-by-case basis, and only prior to shipment of the item(s). 

If I return my item early will I receive a refund?

No. There are no refunds or cancellations on rental items.

Do you charge a deposit for rentals?

No. To keep things simple we do not require a deposit. I trust everyone to return the items borrowed quickly and in the same condition in which it was received. However, if an item is damaged or lost, your card on file will be charge for fees to clean, repair, or replace the item.

How is the rental price determined?

Price is determined by a few factors, but is primarily based off of retail (or market) value of an item to help recoup investment costs. You can read about our pricing here. All rentals can be extended for the same price regardless of initial listing price.

Do you offer local delivery or pick-up?

Yes. If you are located near Boulder/Denver, local pick up is available. Please complete the form below to confirm eligibility. Use code LOCAL1 to discount shipping charges

Frame hiking child carriers are ONLY available for local pick up.


Rental Care and Condition

Can I wash the carrier?

No. We ask that you do not wash the carriers to prevent unintended damage or wear. Some items have special washing instructions.

However, life happens, and sometimes babies are messy! We get it, we’ve been there! If your item becomes soiled, please email or message us and we will work with you. Spot treat any small areas as you are able with water.

Do you wash carriers between rentals?

Yes, typically items are washed between every loan. All items are inspected before shipment and immediately upon return for damage, and dirt, hair, etc.). Please contact us immediately if you receive an item in less than stellar condition.

Please return the item in the condition in which you received it.

What happens if the carrier becomes dirty or damaged while I have it?

In the event something happens, please contact us as soon as possible and provide as much detail as you can. We will work with you to assess any fees for repair or replacement, or walk you through how to wash the item.

Normal wear and tear is expected, but if an item is damaged or excessively dirty, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the carrier.


Carrier Help and Instructions

How will I know how to use the item(s) I rent?

Every rental will include either a paper copy of the manufacturer’s instructions or a digital copy will be sent to you via email. We advise you read and familiarize yourself with these instructions before using the carrier. It is your responsibility to understand and use the item correctly and safely.

How can I get fit help with my rental?

Every rental comes with a FREE fit check with a certified babywearing consultant! You can simply send photos (or a video) to sarah@joyfulbabyco.com, or message me. If you require additional help or support, you can book a 15 minute video call, or book a virtual consultation. Visit our about page to learn about our other offerings.

How does a babywearing consultation work?

A babywearing consultation is a private video appointment between you and a certified babywearing consultant to help you and your baby get the best fit possible in the carrier. Partners or other caregivers are welcome and encourage to join!

You will be asked to put on the carrier, so be sure that you are able to do that at the time of the call. Before we meet, you will be asked to complete a short intake form.
